So what's it all about?
In 1984 a toy was made that would be an instant hit with schoolkids. Unlike toys before hand it wasn't an Action Man, a Robot or even a Car. It was a bit of all of these elements combined, it was the Transformers. A Transformer is basically a vehicle that can transform into a robotic warrior of somekind then back to the vehicle. The robot would need to be twisted and turned in a series of movements to become either the vehicle or robot. The Transformer would have the characteristics of the vehicle it transformed into such as a car or jet. They were all different in some way and needed to be collected to make up the whole of the two different factions (Autobots and Decepticons) so the kids would need to collect them all, this became an instant hit and was the Pokemon of 1984. Through the time the toy line evolved into a comic book series, an anime series and finally a movie which became no. 3 in the movie charts. Now 16 years later Transformers is back in the lime light and making waves to the new generation of kids and the adults and older teenagers that were fans so long ago.

The Transformers Storyline
Millions of year ago life exsisted on the planet Cybertron, but not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots who could think and feel inhabited the planet. These robots were called Autobots and Decepticons. The Evil Decepticons were driven by a single goal of universal domination, they set out to destroy the peace loving Autobots and so the ultimate war of good against evil raged on the planet Cybertron, destroying all in it's path and draining the planet of it's once vast supply of energy. The Autobot Leader, Optimus Prime and a crew of the greatest Autobot warriors leaves Cybertron to find a new source of energy. However The Decepticons persue them across several light years of space until both space ships crashed landed on prehistoric Earth. And now 4 million years later the battle rages on.....

Transformers: The Movie
There's an evil new force in the universe. A monster planet that devours everything in it's path...And it's heading for the small planet of Cybertron, where a unique race of transforming robots continue to fight a civil war...A war between good and evil that has raged for millions of years.
The evil Decepticon Transformers, led by the manical Megatron, have sworn to crush their enemies, the Autobots. To this end they have relentlessly persued them across the galaxy from planet Cybertron to planer Earth and back again. But the heroic Autobot Transformers and their courageous leader Optimus Prime are not easily defeated....

Transformers: 2005
This genre is set just after Transformers: The Movie. Led by their new leader Rodimus Prime, the Autobots have rebuilt Autobot City and reclaimed Cybertron in a new era of peace, leaving the Decepticons scattered across the galaxy. However Galvatron's generals Cyclonus and Scourge have found their former leader and rescued him. Now Galvatron is back, reforming the Decepticons and now they once again wage war against Rodimus Prime and the Autobots and so the battle rages on in a new generation of Transformers....
